I have seen some of the best like Eddy Woos lectures and this lecture gives me the opportunity to deepen the knowledge and realy think deeper how completing thes square is connected to distributive property that is connected to calculating the Area of a rectangle. Connected learning is the way to go and not blindly following the proceedures. Think about the rools, break them and see that the result change from what we expect.

I was pleasantly surprised to see the method applied to both two and three variables, with some context included - graphing conics, quadric surfaces and quadratic forms (no prior knowledge of these topics is needed, though). The problems and examples start simple but later ones don't hold back on having to deal with fractions and awkward coefficients, too, which is nice.

All in all, a wonderful free course and great for flexing your algebraic muscles!

Explanations are clear and follow a logical order and path that makes understanding new concepts easier without making known concepts take too long and making the course drag.

Great courses about a very important topic which often doesn't get enough attention in high school, but is really needed at the university (college) level. Hania does a great job explaining completing the square and its applications. She also gives good examples of problem solving that cover the most common cases. This is my 8th course by Hania and Martin that I've completed and I can recommend all of them.

Due to the great explanations and plenty of examples, I was able to actually understand completing the square instead of just being familiar with the phrase from high school and college courses that I took over ten years ago. I'm glad to see you will do a Discrete Math course (wish it was sooner, but at least there is one planned). I hope to see a Probability & Statistics course sometime also.

Hania is the teacher everbody dreamed to have during school life.

A very nice series of lectures on the topic, with many different applications and examples covered. I really liked the worked problems, clear and well explained.

I have struggled sometimes with this concept and have only recently began to use it when factoring was not practical. This course will help me solidify my skills such that I can share them with others with whom I work.
